We’re excited to introduce Real Coder’s very first plugin release: “Import Agent & PM Reviews from realestate.com.au” (we know, the title needs a little work! ?).
What is it?
Our new plugin leverages the realestate.com.au API to seamlessly sync your agents’ and property managers’ reviews directly to your WordPress site in real time. This means no more manual updates and always having the latest reviews displayed on your website.
How do I get it?
It’s simple! Just let us know you’re interested, and we’ll handle the rest.
What problem does this solve?
Until now, agents and agencies were burdened with manually managing reviews or relying on platforms like Google Reviews, RMA reviews, or REA reviews without a straightforward way to import or display them on their own sites. With our plugin, REA reviews will follow agents even as they move between agencies, ensuring their entire review history is always up-to-date and visible. This is especially useful when new agents join your team. Note that there are some limitations for team profiles, which you can read about [here].
Are there any negatives?
Currently, the only downside is that the REA API doesn’t provide suburb data for reviews (yet). We’re actively working with them to include this information in the future.
What do you need to do?
If you haven’t already provided your API credentials, you’ll need to sign up [here] and add STAFFLINK as an integrator. Even if you’ve begun this process with Prop Track, it’s best to submit the form again to ensure we have everything covered.
Flexibility and Integration
Our plugin is designed to integrate smoothly with your existing “Manual” reviews on your website. It features a “Shortcode” for flexible placement, allowing you to display reviews anywhere you like on your site.
Customization Options
While the plugin mirrors reviews from realestate.com.au by default, it offers several customization options to fit your needs:
- Show a maximum number of reviews.
- Display only reviews above a minimum star rating.
- Filter reviews for specific agents by name or ID.
- Adjust the layout and view based on screen size.
- Choose between the REA layout or a custom design.
Cost
This plugin is completely free—no retainer or monthly fees. It’s our pilot project for working with the realestate.com.au API, and we’re planning more exciting PropTrack projects in the future. While we’ll be offering this plugin to our other clients at a cost, you get to try it for free as part of our initial launch.
